guy: NO…when you clawed your way out of hell..

i know we all get it.. the urge to hit, to break, to destroy.. what is about violent actions that are so… satisfying…

when im angry or frustrated… i enjoy nothing more than venting it out on a punching bag… imagining that bag is the object of anger/frustration and hitting it to the point to where my arms feel like lead..

a good friend of mine even takes that a step further.. he does thai boxing.. and loves sparing.. he enjoys the back and forth.. enjoys taking the hits as much as giving them..

is it the fact that underneath the facade of our rational minds… we are but animals.

i mean look in the animal kingdom… pretty much any if not all disputes are settled through violence..the alpha male is decided through combat..who eats first, through combat..who has the right to mate… again is decided through violence with animals.. 

perhaps in the end.. violence is the purest way for us to show our displeasure with something or someone…(not that i am condoning violence)

i mean i do not deem it acceptable for a man to hit a woman, and although violence may not solve the situation as to who is right or wrong… it is definitely a natural reaction to a dispute..

so to paraphrase the bloodhound gang “you and me aint nothing but mammals, so lets do it like the do on the discovery channel”

betrayal, back stabbing… violating the trust that you have been given..it is probably amongst if not the worst thing a human being is capable of. in christianty mythology and the epic poem the divine comedy by dante.. the lowest circle of hell is reserved for betrayers.

it is a subject that is a constant thought in my head, and i felt i needed to post about again, as it is something that has me concerned. 

in my opinion, going behind a friends back is probably the worst thing someone can do to another person… i get that no one is perfect, that we all have moments of weakness, and perhaps give in to temptation.. but i would like to beleive that as we get older we learn from our mistakes… 

that being said i just cant understand what would drive a person to hurt someone who considers them a friend, with out provocation…

example.. when two people like the same person.. isnt it better to be upfront and honest about how you feel about that person with your friend, rather than go behind their back…

ive said before in previous posts that i “had” a friend who liked the same girl as me, and lied to me about not liking her and then pursuing her when he knew i was interested… i wasnt angry that the girl wasnt interested in me.. thats a part of life..i was angry that my supposed “friend” would go behind my back and betray me by lying to me by saying nothing was happening..

ultimately this led to me cutting all ties with him (ultimately for the best, im much happier)..because as ive said before.. ANY relationship is built on the pillars of truth and honesty, with the foundation of communication… if any of those three fail.. so does the relationship.

the interesting thing about this isthat i found my self in a similar situation with a different friend of mine before that… but that time…we confronted each other, we talked about it, and when i was made aware that the girl liked him.. i stepped aside, that is what a friend does.

the difference in those situations to myself was that in one i felt respected and the other i felt worthless, however i soon got over that.. as i realised that trust is a valuable commodity, and to those who would squander it.. they are not worth my time and their actions simply prove to me that i am better than them..and can do better than them..

so to all the betrayers out their, the back stabbers, the Judas and Brutus’s of this world… you can all go rot in hell! because that is what you deserve! and to those who have been victims of betrayal, try to hold your head up high, you are the ones who understand the value of trust, that value of friendship…you are better than them and can do better.. and ultimately i would hope, that from these harsh lessons we learn and will develop stronger, and more fulfilling relationships with others.

totally beasted the 90kg (200lbs) on the bench press today… now to alot of peoplethat might seem small, but im only 75.6 kg (166lbs) and 6ft.. so its more than my body weight.. and i feel pretty good about that.. gonna start upping it again soon.. want to be on 100kg some time next month!
